Deck Strategy
Standard Phoenix/dragon splash build post COTE.

Compared to my last deck from Magic Madhouse EC, felt like deck wasn't enough and after looking at some of the changes Travis made figured why not try them. Dynasty wise Ujina replaced kudaka, then few alterations based on that plus secluded shrines replaced storehouses - definitely paid off. Still not sure about 3rd prodigy or 3rd master but otherwise happy with the deck.

Found myself being too aggressive with assassinate so cut that and a ningyo for 2 censure in the conflict deck. I know 41 is bad but couldn't bring myself to cut anything. Ningyo's definitely proved worth during the day multiple times.

Generally buy one dude first turn and pass, sometimes bought 2 if had storm or vs crab.

Try to conserve fate, generally only put ETV where you will generate at least 2 fate, unless you're reaching the end game and the extra fate boost will push you over edge.

MOGT can be used to protect consumed and to stop crane/scorpion messing everything up.

Tadaka and Kanjo are nuts.

Secluded shrines are used to activate prodigy without forcing you to claim water or let you do solemn scholar on defense, plus turns off tadaka in mirror.

I generally replace all holdings with 2 exceptions - kanjo with favour and shrine in mirror vs a tadaka or if I have multiple scholars going second next turn.

Played a lot of good players and great people, well run event and very smooth, even with lotus pavilion wiping player entries. See the match results for notes that I can remember of the games, apologies for any mistakes - let me know!

Ended up 4-1 in swiss and in top 8, also note that 3 (out of 4 total) crane made top cut is impressive with the last crane being 12th.

I have just realised I was less honourable then opponent in all my swiss matches, then more honourable in the top cut - go figure!

Final was against another local player Steve Stewart, which could have gone either way but managed to get right cards at right time to claim third title.

Not bad for almost not going!

I think the title should be 02 March 2019?
Indeed, was trying to get names in same format - good catch, now amended. Thanks!
