Deck Strategy
Hey everyone this is the list I used for the European Grand kotei in Poland.
After spyglass got RLed I started searching for a new deck to build one of my previous decklists was using lion splash for true strike kenjutsu and although that deck gave the elemental championship title it was not enough in the current meta mainly due to it being very unfavored against crane. As a result I started thinking of what to play and the whole Meido hype was on, so I tried it and found out that it had a very high skill cap plus I did not like the playstyle that much. In addition I felt like it was quite a risk for a top cut environment and had a bad MU against scorpion. I was expecting many people to play scorpion, crane and the bird phoenix deck in the kotei, so I felt I needed to beat those to do well. After a long talk with my friend Giannis (Slyninght) we came up with mount + spoils. In the start we thought that mount is good vs crane as a counter to toshimoko like effects and then we tested and found out it was much more than that. Having WC and Dyh available in most of the conflicts is amazing. Also not being able to covert or send home my tower was huge as well. Spoils makes sure that you can get to the card advantage and search for the WC as fast as possible, there is also pyres and Yori besides the auto include yasuki and enoy card engines to try and get to the point of being higher on cards. In the start I tested barcha instead of spoils but felt inconsistent due to the restrictions and once people know how to play against barcha it gets harder to do something with it. As for revels vs Along I felt revels is far superior against crane. Oguri is there for more covert against crane and Yori adds to the card advantage and also wrecks lion. I played a few games with kostakias and bought him T1 with 2 fate and was very good. He is bad against phoenix due to waves but I don't mind them using sh I the late game for that. The other options where second tenkinja(which I don't really like) or kudaka which I found bad against koa phoenix. As a general comment my deck tries to get the card advantage and double threat with wc, I found out that our huge card draw with spyglass was an overkill we can make it even with less card draw.
A general approach for most of the clans.
Crane:
One of the difficult MUs, hard to keep wc on board and honor pressure them only way out is try and get the early tempo or tetsubo a big character with many attachments on him. Ctm uji or takamori ASAP.
Unicorn:
Like in old times, now with the deck you are immune to SiN just honor pressure them and keep Dyh for key events.
Lion:
Same as unicorn. :P beware of ebs + censure on fight on, don't let them get the favor.
Dragon:
Sorry dragon players I don't think I need to comment the MU :P. Ctm Mitsu :P
Phoenix:
I did 0 practice against SoV builds with the deck because I felt there no one that was going to play that, against koa builds they can't deal with attachments so I just buy one character main focus on Kisada or Boarderlans and just attach all your cards on them and never let them die. Ctm on tsukune or ujina and make them pay honor on all conflicts, try and attack political first and get fans on your characters to break, if you get 1 break there is no need to go military as well just skip that conflict to avoid echoes on attack, force them to play it on defense and have a Dyh ready. Once they flip kanjo with favor things get difficult try to keep fight on for that don't use it aggressively, boarderlans is our best friend when kanjo flips.
Scorpion:
Another hard MU, but we got better when they switched to crane splash, because phoenix splash is really good against crab. Keep ctm for magistrate play around AWTD and NS, karada and boarderlans is your best friend. Try to stay above 4 honor, break when you can especially provinces like secret cache. Outgrind them and wc them to death.

This is a card game my main approach is try to read the meta and try to adapt my clan to it.
I hope my wall of text helps

We will endure. Duty, honor, sacrifice, craaaaaaaaaaaaaab

I passed in day one with a 5-1 result.
First round: Win vs kyuden Isawa keeper of Air
My oppenent was an experienced player with the hatamoto title for phoenix. Our game went really good for me as my oppenent had no idea I was not playing Meido and was confused when he saw SD also I had ballista active from T1 and maybe because he never faced it he could play around it easily, I was also lucky that after he bought satoshi T1 he did not bird in his pile and never found kanjo. I won by dishonor.

Second round: Win vs City of the open hand keeper of Air
He was playing forged edict and tried to play the long game against me trying to outvalue me, which was a wrong approach he also made a mistake when he cif when I had karada.

Third round: win against Kyuden kakita seeker of void
My oppenent was the crane hatamoto of the same day. I think he got confused when I played spoils and he saw SD instead of Meido he also forgot Kisada at some point and I ended up having the card advantage and was able to win the attrition game.

Forth round: win against Chutereve Kyuden kakita seeker of void.
Chutereve is a very good crane player and I was very anxious for that game. Because we play many games online he knew that I was not in favor of playing wotc and he ended up buying a big guy against my envoy betting that I would either play one or none, super luck for me way of the crab was in my starting hand and after that he could not come back.

Fifth round: win vs kyuden Isawa keeper of Air
In this round I was up against a very good fellow Greek player that won the hatamoto title of the same day, sadly for Sotiris this game was alot one sided he could not break any of my provinces and I was pushing the double threat game.

Sixth Round: lose against Jakub (Sliski) City of the open Hand
I was quite surprised of the gameplay Sliski used against me instead of trying to flat DH me he was trying breaking my provinces with characters like Aramoro and Shoju. I got a bit discrated and he passed I can swim on a towered kisada which sealed the game. If I had approached the game a bit differently I could have a winning chance but the way I tried was not going to work I made a mistake in the bids thinking he would drop his bid to 1 and I got myself self chocked. Sliski is really good :D.

Top cut:
Top 32: bye.

Top 16: win vs a very good Spanish phoenix player (fleepa) kyuden Isawa keeper of Air.
I had all 3 of my WC really early in the game and I could pressure him on honor quite fast. There was a deciding turn when I tried to rebuild Palace for favor and he censured and I rebuild again but he did not have a second one, I got the favor and then he flipped kanjo. Also his first satoshi activation did not gave him bird on the discard pile, I clouded him before he could do it twice.

Top 8: win against a very good scorpion (Zelos) City of the open Hand. This was the best game I played in tournament at the end of the game I was 4 honor and he had drawn nearly all his deck so if I lost an honor somehow I was dead. I made a huge mistake on the last round allowing him to get me the favor which got Kisada with talisman bridged ( and this is when I went to 4 honor) I was lucky enough to have a second one and he could not get me the air ring. I waited painfully and patiently to try and grind him down. I the end it was a win after time was over. As Zelos said legendary game!

Top 4: win against Dimitris a Red lion, Yoji no shiro (Lion/Scorpion with edict as a restricted card). Big congrats on Dimitris for making it to top 4! He is a really good Lion player.
Dimitris only attachment hate was x2 calling in favors and x1 hand to hand. I knew I could easily counter his calling with karada and I wanted him to him to use edict in a conflict that would cost him an honor as well. Although I found karada he was playing x1 PA as well but I was lucky enough to find karada again with Satoshi when he used PA. There was a state of the game when I had all 3 WC on board and I had broken 3 provinces, there was no turn around from that point.

Finals: win against Akis Scorpion King, City of the open Hand keeper of Air.
Me and Akis have played tons of games as he is a local Greek player and to be honest in 90% of our games he wins but I won an important game :D
Akis is a great scorpion player and at this point I did not care which of two of us would win.
After I talked to Akis he had a very bad start having all 3 bhc in his starting 9 cards. He managed to get to me to 7 honor in T1 and tried to bait me to go bid 5 in t2 against his 1 and I would have been insta dead but I bid 3 so was out of lethal range, after that Akis was way behind in cards and had to face a never dying Kisada.
Congratulations my friend!! You deserved this!!
Hi what can be a change for fight on with the new roles??
Caoky you can remove spoils to add an extra mount and Gaijin customs, of course this is not fight on :(
