Political Hand Control Lion? That's really interesting
Very cool deck idea
I've had an exceptional record with this deck so far, my best runs since core only. There are multiple ways to set your first turn up, which involves taking one province and discarding as much of the opponent's hand as possible via Spies/Letter/Earth Ring. Turns after become lockdown with Kage or low bid and making the opponent play dynasty vs dynasty with your best stat higher honor Lion characters.
Watched this deck in action, looks pretty brutal and effective once it gets going. Heck Ryroma took 3rd place out of 10 last week with it. It really makes you think and I feel when the new SH comes out, this deck will probably scarier than it is now.
Your deck is mainly bent on political, so how are you compensating on the MIL side? Just cheap characters and activation of the stronghold?
Lion is already pretty decent at military to begin with.
With the SH, LoO, Banzai, and Covert characters, it holds it's own very well. After turn 1, it's basically "my dynasty + box is better than yours" as the goal is to trash their conflict hand.
This deck is very strong, but oppressive. When your hand attack is firing on all cylinders, and you’ve never bid more than 1, it can lock your opponent at hand size 0. If you care about your opponent having fun too, don’t bring this deck out every week.

Kitsu Spiritcallers are odd in a deck without any bombs, but being able to replay goblin sneaks are fun, and even surprise playing a 0/2 into a conflict can be powerful when neither player has many hand cards.
Totally agree that this deck is pretty oppressive, not a casual play deck ;)
Spiritcallers have multiple utility points in the deck. Alongside Satoshi, they give a multitude of juicy targets including , LPB and Ikehata. The dream is to Spiritcall a Political Rival into a defensive battle for PD & solid defense.
